I'm using DOSBox 0.72 on my HP pavillion dv6540eo laptop with Vista installed, and I've recently started to get problems with Frontier (free version).
It started three days ago, the ship would turn violently in a random direction every .5 seconds when in manual control. The in-game cursor also does not register all of my movements, and sometimes locks up completely.
I think this may have something to do with the large amounts of updates I've been getting lately, but I can't tell which one it is.

Is this a problem anybody else is having? I would really like to continue my quest for that Panther Clipper... 😢

EDIT:

Sorry for bothering you. It seems DOSBox thought that my Wiimote was a joystick with 0 axes and 0 buttons. Turning off the joystick option in the .conf solved the problem.

That is the only thing that showed up in the two hours I was playing.
Joystick settings in the config was at standard settings:
joysticktype=auto
timed=true
autofire=false
swap34=false
buttonwrap=true

It's odd that SDL returns all zeroes for the settings. Does it work under
your OS for native games/apps or does it need special drivers?
Can you test it on a different pc with possibly different drivers?

Well, my computer doesn't recognize it at all, and the Wiimote itself shows no signs of being plugged in. The only thing I could think of was downloading a program for using the controller as a cursor, but it didn't work and no drivers came with it.
I realize now that I never thought of searching for drivers for the 'mote.
As for the testing, no I can't. I don't know anyone who has working bluetooth-devices for their computers.
