Okay. I did all of what aqrit said, replaced the qmixer.dll and sh33w32.dll, and now when I do it, Windows will tell me that the program's stopped working.

I can switch to Windows 7, I've been meaning to update. Shall I give it a try? The file I have is the 64-bit of 7.

Does it crash right after you start the program, or does something else happen first?

As for the fault module, just take a screenshot of the Windows error message and post it here. If there's a "Details..." button of some sort in the error message, click that first. (You can take a screenshot by pressing PrintScreen on your keyboard, opening MS Paint, selecting Edit->Paste, and then File->Save.)

I click on the program, wait a little under a minute, then,

"Starship Titanic has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
[Close program]"

When I click to close it, it gives me that "Your computer might be missing updates that can help improve its stability and security" bullshit. Pardon me.

But isn't there a "View problem details" thingy at the bottom of the error window?
