I have read the manual and Wiki but is does not go into great detail about setting up a directory for captures. The Wiki says that a capture path is created automatically with the newer versions of DOSBox. Anyway, I hit Crtl+F5 during a game (Quest for Glory I - EGA) and nothing seems to happen. I check the capture folder and nothing is in it except the text file describing the capture key commands. What am I doing wrong? Maybe someone could explain how they have successfully obtained captures while playing a game and what (if anything) they have edited in the config file.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

what is your dosbox version and where have you got it from?
what is your Operating System?
what are your PC specifications?
post content of "DOSBox Status Window" (in Windows: right click on its title bar -> edit)
enclose your dosbox's config file

Thanks, that fixed it. I hit Ctrl+F5 now and a PNG file is saved in the capture folder. I used a DOSBox installer to setup my QFG Anthology games and the config file it automatically produced had the quotation marks around the path name.

Anyway, good to go. Thanks.
