I have installed DOSBox to try to use older software. The problem is that my mouse does not respond correctly. The black mouse from the main DOSBox interface works correctly. However, in both games I have been trying, I have the same problem: the mouse moves on time when I move it, and essentially in the correct direction - until I turn around to go in a different direct; then the pointer - while still only moving when I move the mouse - continues in the wrong direction for a short distance before moving in the correct direction. It is not a true delay issue, because as I have said, the pointer only moves when I am moving the mouse, but the pointer moves in the direction that the mouse was moving several movement-seconds earlier. For example, I move the mouse to the right for a while, then stop for however long I wish (potentially a very long time). Then, when I start to move the mouse again, this time to the left, the pointer initially moves to the right for a short distance, then turns and moves to the left. I acts like a delay except that the pointer moves immediately when I move the mouse, and stopping and waiting does not cancel the delaying behaviour. It is as though DOSBox knows that the mouse is moving, and even how fast it is moving, but takes a certain distance to realise what direction it is moving in. And again, as I have said it happens in both games I am trying to play, but not with the black pointer from the main DOSBox interface. Any help?
