I want the 3D DosBox graphic that shows when you initially start DosBox. It's the one on top of the orange background. I'd like to use it as the application icon in my application dock (Docky in Linux). 😁

I tried to cut it out of a screen shot, but it leaves an orange outline.

Where can I get it? Or can someone email it to me?

THanks!

The splash screen is run-length encoded in dosbox_splash.h. I've attached the decoded version as PNG for convenience.

Attached are icons from the splash screen. Formats are Windows, Macintosh and PNG with various sizes. 32bit with alpha. Because this was done on a Windows platform, there may be some imperfections when converted to Mac and PNG formats. Also, if I have any artistic bones, they are brittle ones. Icons with "glow" in the file name have a soft glow added to the DOS BOX section of the icon.

Enjoy

@Dominus i have no idea how to get the icon from the source, or else that's exactly what I would've done! I figured someone had the icons or new exactly how to get them. This thread could be beneficial to others wanting the icons too now. 😀

@Ripa, that still has the orange background. I just wanted the icon with transparent background. Thanks very much though! Can you extract just the icon without the orange?

@ArvinMac Docky uses PNG and SVG. With PNGs, the bigger the better, then it can always be downsized. With SVGs... well you know. 😀

@ArvinMac (again, hehe) Oh, thanks! hehe. Is there any way you can get the full size one (like the size of the one in the above image)? Oh, and it cool that your zip got downloaded 17 times already 😁

you don't have an image editor that can replace colours ?
The orange background is part of the image. It's stored that way.

You're in luck. I practiced my GIMP-fu and got the background out without leaving any orange halos.
