I was able to get Diablo running on Win 7 in compatibility mode for XP but couldn't do the same with Diablo 2. Does anyone know if there is any special trick to getting it to run under win 7?
Installing and patching it works for me.
It works for me too, and the same goes to a friend of mine, and we both run the 64 bit version of Windows 7
Diablo 2 has quite a few rendering options, you could try DirectDraw if Direct3D doesn't work for you (for some weird reason!)!
I wonder if Glide support would work with a Glide Wrapper installed ?

Diablo 2 + LoD works well without any patches for me in Win7 x64. I'm using Radeon cards, both in my laptop and my desktop, on which I run Diablo2Ex. Without selecting any compatibility mode.
I've tried fullscreen, windowed, run as admin - cannot get it to run.
It looks like its going to launch and then crashes out to the desktop.
Well I feel like a spaz. Downloaded the latest patch and it runs just fine. *slaps forehead*
