Hello people, I have a problem with a game purchased today NEW. When I go to the setup, it first ask me to choose a sound card and then write the port, interruptor and DMA channel. when I click test , ok or auto detect, a error say 'ERROR OPENNING SOUND.INI''. Whatever I try next (choosing another card or even choosing ''no sound'') will result the same error.

Ive put a image of the error at the attachment

Since I have alot of dos games, I highly doubt the problem is caused by mounting or imgmounting.

Help would be appreciated

EDIT: I did a rookie error by going to SETUP.EXE before going to INSTALL. I installed the game and when I go to setup.exe, I don't have the error in the picture anymore.

But when I start the game however, I do not have any sound or music.

In the setup menu, I tried each soundblaster (SB, SB 16 , SB Pro) but it do not seems to work)

first when I start up DOSBox

Z: mount c c:\test

Z: C:

C: imgmount d c:\CYCLE.cue -fs iso -t iso

now MDSXS or whatever is installed

C: D:

D: INSTALL

After Installation

C:\CYCLE CYCLE (to start the game)

EDIT: ive found out that pentium_slow in the cputype in dosbox option caused problem with this game. By setting auto, the music and sound came back!. The reason I set it in pentium_slow mode was because Windows 3.1 work mucb better with those setting.

Well, Problem solved.
