I decided to see how fast I could go with my Super Socket 7 rig. Originally it was setup as 4x 66 and it worked fine. Switching to 3x 100 and 3.5 x 100 worked as well. 4x 100... not so well 😀 I settled for 4.5x 83MHz for a stable 372MHz overclock.

Now the questions:
1) Which is faster: 3.5x 100 or 4.5x 83?
- I know that higher FSB should be faster but I'm guessing there shouldn't be much difference between the two.
2) What's a good benchmarking software for comparison?
3) Is it normal for Windows 98 to take 2 minutes to load? 😀

The issue with the K6/2 is that the L2 cache is external and is limited by the FSB, so I would think that the 100MHz FSB would be faster. No idea by how much though. 😀

I'd say use 100mhz fsb,the overall performance of the pc should be better, have u tried increasing voltage to keep it stable at 4x100?
