Hi,

I am trying to install this CT2950 sound card (the oldest working I got late 1995) for my 386. Before this I was using the ES1688F that was good in compatibility but I think too "heavy" on the cpu cycles. Maybe this one would be better for games.
I tried the SB16 autoexec and config.sys modification but the diagnose.exe seems not to find a correct configuration.
Any advices on the correct procedure to make it working? 😀

Thank!

I think the CT2950 is a PnP card. Does it perhaps require CTCM.exe to be loaded?

If it's got I/O jumpers (IOS0, IOS1), make sure that's matching with your SET BLASTER variable.

maybe you need ctcu to set it up, and ctcm to runtime use those ctcu settings...

Unpack CTCMBBS and SBBASIC on separate floppy disks (available from Creative website). Insert SBBASIC disk and run the installation program. It will ask you to insert the CTCM disk at some point.

There is a complete ISO file on Vogons drivers too. I can not remember the exact name, though it is a complete package of all the Creative Soundblaster drivers (roughly speaking). It is handy to have that as a burned disc, alongside them two CTCMBBS and SBBASIC.

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....
