System: P3 850/512ram/GF3/3DBlaster V2 SLI/W98SE DX8 latest 3DFX ref. drivers.
EAW - patch 1.2

Weird the way this game works or doesn't. It refuses to run in glide, screen stays black and the game becomes unresponsive, however the V2's will run via D3D mode as well as the GF3. Anyone else come across this and figure it out?

All my other glide games work ok, seems that these older games (1997-99???) time period are a bit flakey with V2 setups. This game and NFS hot pursuit 3 another one that give me headaches but eventually patched it up.

Back then I had a S3 864 + V2 8Mb combo and it worked fine with EAW. Not sure how GF3 + V2 SLI would work though... I'd try with a single V2 with a basic 2D card to see if it helps.

I've never tried with SLI, but can confirm that these single-card configurations work OK:

12 MB Voodoo2 PCI + 8 MB Matrox Millennium G200 AGP in Windows 98 SE
12 MB Voodoo2 PCI + 2 MB S3 Trio64v+ PCI in Windows 95C

Going to try the Fast Voodoo drivers and see if that helps, hard to find time right now.
