Another weekend:

Friday: Bingo night, flashed 2 chips (of the 6) I got from Digikey for my 486 machine and Roland SC-55, and playing Assassin's Creed: Syndicate
Saturday: thrifting adventures, testing a ROM chip in my 486 to make sure it works, and work at night (last day at McDonald's for 9 years, 3 months, and 6 days).
Sunday: Nothing in particular, except for playing Assassin's Creed: Syndicate on my Xbox One S and my 43" 4K HDR Roku TV

Having just finished marathoning Lord of the Rings, I am now focusing my efforts on my latest Frankenbroadcaster:
IMG_5479.jpg
IMG_5481.png
Agile modulator at the bottom, RF amplifier at the top with a tuned dipole antenna. So far it works fine over short distances, but my amplifier really isn't powerful enough to throw the signal past my driveway. As far as I can tell, the FCC legal limit for unlicensed operation on 530 MHz (channel 24) in my area is 4 watts, so I have a ways to go. Maybe a more powerful amplifier will be in the works >=)

I flermmed the plootash just like you asked.

Another weekend upon us:

Friday: fireworks again and Testing the R593 version of the XT-IDE Universal BIOS on my Packard Bell Pack-Mate 28 Plus (will check to see if my PC's IDE controller is either 32-bit or 16-bit by hooking up a 10GB Western Digital drive on there).
Saturday: thrifting, auto parts store (I need to buy rust removal for my wheelbarrel to remove said wheel), and possibly fixing up my mountain bike again (ordered new shifters, brake cables, and a cable tool to cut and crimp the cables for the shifters and brakes, and the parts might arrive early on Saturday, or wait until Monday).
Sunday: lawn mowing (least favorite and my gas can needs fuel).

Somewhat drunk at my parents place...

"Fixed" my parents Internet again... or rather I bought them a new DSL router as the brand new Asus DSL router they bought to "fix" their Internet had serious issues.

What was wrong with the net in the first place? Well nothing, the net was down in the whole county for two whole days but my parents didd't know that so they thought the old DSL modem was broken, trashed it and bought the Asus DSL router with ... issues...

Luckily I found the year 2017 model DSL router I bought them in a thrift store new in box so it wasn't wery expensive (6 euro) and it's a test winning unit with a name I can't remember... Something... someting that probably makes sense in Chinese.

Tomorrow on my way home (about 110 miles / 170km) I will make a stopover in another town to pick up an Ebay find (Tradera is a part of Ebay again... I think). Saving on shipping costs is nice. Not having some random Joe package the items is even better. Avoiding having retards manhandling the package for days on end... priceless... (I used to be a mailman once...)

I normally don't share much of this kind of everyday life stuff as I don't really see any value in it for anyone else but I'm sort of drunk.

I guess if I was another kind of person I would see it as hot blog material and make sure you would read about it both on Twitter and Facebook followed by a ton of pictures on Instagram and videos on Youtube...

Main PC: Dual Xeon X5690@4.6ghz, Evga - SR-2, 48gb memory, Intel X25-M g2 SSD and a Nvidia GTX 980 ti.
Retro PC #3: K6-2 450@500mhz, PC-Chips m577, 256mb sdram, AWE64 and a Voodoo Banshee.

Why don't you get one of those cheap OBD2 bluetooth dongles and download Torque on the android app store? it'll pull/reset all your codes for you and save you a trip.

I downloaded the app, but, no one sells them at stores sadly. Only Amazon, eBay, and other sites have it, unfortunately. Thanks for the tip.

Friday: swapping hardware (motherboards between the Windows 98SE machine with the DFI motherboard I have) and cloning the CF card to a 4GB card since I'm running low on space for my Packard Bell, or just copying the files from the CF card to the 10GB HDD I have.
