Sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn't find an answer relating to floppy controllers.
I know using an add-in IDE controller frees up some clock cycles on the CPU thus leading to more cycles for other things, but does the same translate for FDD controllers? I have the Adaptec AHA-1542CF and in addition to SCSI it has a FDD controller, I'm wondering if it's better to use the Adaptec, or the on-board FDD controller? I have both 3.5" + 5.25" floppy drives.
Thanks 😀
