Hey everyone,

I have a Fair Electronics CPS-220 power supply in my old Colani Tower PC . Recently I decided to recap the power supply in order to make it future proof.
The capacitors I chose had the same capacity but I chose their Voltage rating one step higher.( 25V instead of 16V ) After reinstalling the PSU ,the computer boots up fine, but unfortunately the PSU started to make some weird squeaking noises. Now I have the impression, I did something wrong ??

Does anyone had similar experience with such Issues or similar sounds and knows how to proceed in such a case ?? ( I think it is the coil )

If you can find someone with an oscilloscope, it would probably be worth testing the outputs for ripple. This could be happening due to an ESR mismatch on the pi filter caps resulting in unstable circuit regulation.
