Music module guts

Postby Salient » 2018-10-13 @ 17:46

How about the internals of Music Modules?

I'll start with 3 of them:

1. E-Mu Sound Engine (1993 version)

2. Anteg EasyMidi EM-100

3. Creative Labs MIDI Blaster MB10

I like the Midi Blaster: looks like a bunch of ROMs with Creative Stickers on them. Besides the 74 series ICs the other ones are probably Waveblaster ICs? I guess the device is from the early SoundBlaster 16 era?

I can only offer a screengrab from my SC55 video:

I would have to open it again to make a better pic. :)
