Hello all,
I have a Roland Cakewalk monitor speaker set. The control knobs are located on the RIGHT speaker unit, but since I am left-handed, I would like to have it placed on the left. (for easier reach)

Now, I was not even aware of this fact, and I thought it was actually a LEFT unit (but upon closer inspection, on its back the letter 'R' can be clearly seen), and I confirmed this by accident, when I ran SB16's diagnose.

Question:
Can I keep my speakers just the way they are, but simply swap the RED/WHITE RCA connectors that goes into my speaker then?

I mean is there a *specific* reason these speakers have the R/L labels on them, or is this arbitrary?

Many thanks in advance!

switching cables is fine. On most speakers it is arbitrary. I suppose there are weird designs or setups where it might matter, but simple stereo boxes don't care.

I see, thanks for clarifying that.

Not the best way to find it out. Some SB cards came with mixer controls inverted, so some games (i.e.: Tie Fighter) had an option to reverse stereo.

I have traveled across the universe and through the years to find Her.
Sometimes going all the way is just a start...

I'm selling some stuff!

That is a thing with some soundblaster pro cards, not the SB16 or newer
