I recently bought a couple of HD 2900GT cards off of ebay for cheap.
My intention was to set them up in crossfire to replace a couple of X1900 cards in an old socket 939 system.
The problem is I cannot get crossfire mode to work. I have installed the cards in three different systems with XP, vista, and windows 7 and tried most all of the driver versions I could find,
from the latest legacy drivers to the oldest I could find. None worked. I got blue screens, reboot loops, and if Windows loaded, It just showed the second card as disabled. I even bought a third card to make sure one was not defective. No difference. 😠
Does anyone here have any ideas?

possibly stupid question, but do you have the crossfire bridges necessary?

Yes I do. I have tried using both one and two, makes no difference.
And yes, all the systems I tried them in are crossfire compatible.
First one Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe.
Second Asus P5Q Deluxe.
And third MSI 890FXA-GD70.
I read somewhere that one person could only get crossfire to work with the driver that was on the cd that shipped with the card, but they did not say what driver version or OS they used.
