Hello, when I took this card into use with Peter Hall's driver under W2K, the first MIDI file I randomly played was "It's a Sin" by Pet Shop Boys and it sounded better than on FM radio. Turns out the melody was actually composed on a rack version of the same hardware (EMU Proteus 1/XR)! As for games, there was about 1-1.5 sec delay in Prboom, thus unusable (tested once just for fun).
BTW, my rev 1.2 card also has some empty/spare RAM sites on the PCB, with just the outline of solder leads present. I wonder if people home-brazed memory expansions onto the card in that old era or did they return them to the manufacturer for upgrade? Did TB save a single cent by omitting those brown RAM sockets you see on e.g. every Tseng VGA card?
