Hi there,

I'm currently using some rather sparse net-update wdm drivers for my creative X-Fi card in Windows 2000. I was wondering if anyone was aware of either the best and/or most recent drivers compatible with Win2k.

Thank you,

Have you tried the latest XP drivers directly from Creative Labs?

XP drivers don't install on win2k from my experience. XP was set as the minimum OS for most of the retail releases. A fairly new net-update driver pack does install though, but it has no specific creative apps or bloat, not sure whether that's a good or a bad thing 😀 But yeah I thought somewhere along the lines someone might have created a nice win2k compatible pack of some sort that I'm not aware of.

The installer executable will do an O/S compliance check, and fail upon that. However, there is nothing stopping you from installing the drivers using Device Manager. You just have to install the add-on applications manually after that.
