Radio Shack 12-639A radio. I found it brand new for 8$ at a thrifstore around 20 years ago. I was so happy. It had a big speaker, sounded surprisingly good. Truth is I never used it all that much, and good thing o/w we wouldn't be having this conversation. It hasn't stood the test of time well at all, the power/volume knob detent no longer provides that emminently satisfying click in the off direction. The tuning scale has warped, frequency is off regardless. Not much to pick up with all the electronics in my room. I think I'm gonna ditch it.

Now, would you gut the thing first or just give it the ol' heave ho? Not much inside that pertains to computers. But still I would imagine a few odds and ends for some weird project I'll never get to.
