I found a Sony Vaio vgc-ra280g.

It has a really striking case with a hole through the middle.

Problem was that the drive was dead. It came with Windows XP Media Center 2005

I've got a copy of Windows XP Media Center 2005 and I've got all of the drivers on it except for the modem and the Video Capture Card.

Sony says they don't have the rights for the drivers any more, if I read the website correctly.

Nothing on https://rebyte.me

Maybe if I could find the name of the files I could find it on http://dose.0wnz.at/ftp.vaiolink.com/PUB/VAIO/

Any suggestions?

For the latter, this might be it? https://driverpack.io/en/hwids/PCI%5CVEN_4444%26DEV_0016

Note - drp.su is perhaps the most honest of these for-profit driver/dll sites but why bother taming their program if you have a direct download (zip) option? 😀

There's also this link which seems to have both modem & multimedia video controller (see attached .inf text) drivers for XP - https://www.driverscape.com/manufacturers/son … 0g%28uc%29/5869

Yeah the Video controller driver matches with Python2 MPEG2 CAP: %smrt.DeviceDesc%=smrt.Device,PCI\VEN_4444&DEV_0016&SUBSYS_813D104D
but the modem driver ID does not match the ID in picture.... poor google of PCI\VEN8086&dev_2668 comes up as HD audio so maybe it is it

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun
