Very long shot but I was wondering if anyone's ever seen a PC case like this:

  • At the top right looking at it from the back there's an integrated door lock;
  • You open the left panel with a flip-up handle at the center-top that latches open;
  • The lower sticker on the back says Micronica, which was the manufacturing arm of then Italian giant Computer Discount, and Dex their store brand, unfortunately I don't know if the case was also in-house or a third party product;
  • The grey cap at the bottom front hides the front USB ports (which are wired with a funnily colored, untwisted, and unshielded cable);
  • The red-looking LED is just a barely deeper orange (and unconnected on both my computer and this one... funnily enough I've seen at least 3 boards that support a bicolor power LED but just blink green...)

Thanks in advance for even the wildest guess!

Try removing the front panel if you have access to it. More often than not there should be a number or model of sorts printed on it. Based on that, I might be able to track down the manufacturer.

Unfortunately those are the only photos "available" online (after searching for "case pc dex -samsung", decoding Google's spy redirect result URL, and going to the wayback machine) - we threw away ours around 2009 and only saw one abandoned on the road maybe 7 years ago 🙁
