Try this one, should work . At least device ID is uniformed for HD 7500 series. Here is (14.4) but you need to change/remove subdevice id in INF file. Another older driver from official DELL support page

I have a 8800 and i can confirm that the OpenGL support is mostly nil. Even when you force install the Radeon 8500 drivers, OpenGL doesn't work. I'm sure that there are ways around it, I've never bothered. Most likely there were some traces of the old driver in your system: registry settings, …

I didn't mean PSU itself, but the power rail that comes out from the voltage regulator(s) (this part is under heatsink on tail side of the card) to the GPU on the graphics card pcb. You may find other missing/suspicious components after taking off the heatsink.

This is my machine. W2K + SP4, ATI FireGL X3-256 (X800 PRO analog ) with Catalyst 6.4 driver. Everything works as it should. I guess you have some mess with system files. Did you try to cleanup your drivers with Drivers Cleaner? download/file.php?mode=view&id=110156

Alright, if glinfo2 shows the driver correctly, you need to take a look into the root of your game/app folder and remove "opengl32.dll " if it's there. And you don't need "ati2dvag" string value that you've placed instead of "3dfxogl", just "ati2dvag"sub-key in OpenGLDrivers root folder with its …

Delete 3dfx key from registry and run glinfo2 again (glinfo2 always shows correct information about OGL driver). Your system is trying to use 3dfxogl, apparently can't find/use this dll file and falls back to opengl32.dll default driver

I took off the heat sink today. Here are some pictures with the BIOS. Looks totally normal, haven't found anything suspicious.. It's based on X850. I guess this should be fine, the same R400 architecture. Have no idea what can be wrong.
