Re: Petit DOSbox

Hello JochenKa. I don't really know what you mean about "image" file. To make Petit dosbox work, just set a path of your Mac OS X computer that will act as the root of the virtual MS-DOS computer, and put your games there if you wish and run them as you would with any other MS-DOS machine. Anyhow, I …

Petit dosbox 0.4 with keymap support is out

Hello there. Petit dosbox Incorporated 0.4 for Mac OS X is out, now with one of the most requested things: you can chose your country keyboard layout straight from the front-end. There are some other features and bug corrections in this release. Please visit its web page at: http://web.jet.es/guilly …

Re: What was/were your pre PC machine (or first computer)

in Milliways
Hmm, this is an entertaining question to answer. The first computer I ever had contact with I don't even now the name, but it had a beautiful green phosphor screen. My knowledge by then was not enough to be able to differentiate between hardwares. Other first contact, which impressed me a lot (and I …

Re: Petit dosbox has now 0.63 built-in

Re: Petit dosbox has now 0.63 built-in

Ehm, what does that mean exactly? do I have to release the source code to the open source community (which I do not care)?. Anyhow this is rather weird since all I do is package a binary distro of DosBox inside the executable, which in Macintosh terms they behave like folders. Anyhow, more …

Re: Microsoft Virtual PC

Less questions. I own three versions of Virtual PC (5, 6 and 7) and have used them on daily basis. I have also used DosBox (PC & Mac versions), dosemu, qemu, Bochs, PCx (mac) and Bluelabel (mac). In comparison, Virtual PC is much faster and reliable than any of these. At this moment, I …

Re: I can't mount anything in DosBox!!!

First remember that Mac paths differ somehow from those UNIX paths, wich are the ones used by DosBox (and virtually by any program, although you will not see it). The actual path of almost everything in your computer is usually this one: /Volumes/Macintosh HD/...whatever in UNIX, spaces are …
