There was also a LOT of bugs in the original HL2 as well. The ATI fog bug is a huge one

What he's really trying to ask (in an annoyingly intentionally obfuscated way), is "can X run Lego Creator with Direct3D acceleration?". His references to Windows GDI really stem from my explanation on why no emulator with Voodoo emulation is ever going to work with it.

Neither Quake (nor its derivatives) used Glide. There is no "vs." here. and most visual comparisons are usually associated with the high default gamma and/or undither post-filter, which is not necessarily API specific

If you don't think you own UT, you might also want to check your software bundles with old hardware you might've hoarded. Sound Blaster Live 5.1 X-Gamer should have an eligible copy. OEM UTs typically miss out on the second disc (compressed textures)

Quake 3 should run like a champ. I do wonder how the mpterra mpas in Team Arena run.......and maybe even Doom 3 since you have the right card and OS for it 😈

The only good mod I can think of is PerUnreal which is pretty much an attempt at PerQuake on UT, including the movie-ish sound effect upgrades and the love for chainsaws and miniguns. It also has a shotgun I should also warn that there is already another Q3 server with the VOGONS name ;P
