your output is surface. Try something else, like opengl or ddraw. Nvidia cards slow down heavily in 8bpp fullscreen modes when a palette operation occurs.

especially since it's just translating to "give frederik money for dosbox repacks of games you've played 16 to 24 years ago to make you forget about our new ROTT game" to me. You're never going to see this in a box form with all those Apogee-labeled floppies.

Yeah that would probably place it between 1990 and 1992. also make sure you image the drive for restoration purposes incase something goes haywire, the drive shouldn't be that big. Hope you have a modern computer with an IDE controller for it. Getting the drive OUT of hte packards are the challenge …

On a Mystiquey Matrox (and similar G100) those dithered blendings can REALLY stand out on the screen

Also those patches are compiled with newer VCs and require a DX9 card so no chance for 486 testing on those.

You said Splinter Cell. Geforce4Ti. it'll also handle the other games you mentioned well 😀 C&C depends on the version you play. If it's the DOS version you should be able to get by with dosbox emulation on the said Pentium III for it. 😀

the high requirements of classic rereleases are more likely for providing technical support than actually requiring. A Pentium III is competent enough to emulate the games through DOSBox
