PCem only works with specific cards it is programmed to emulate. You can't just toss any Geforce2 bios in there and expect a working Geforce2 (or anything newer *COUGH*Thanks Jack*COUGH*)

I didn't have a thermal meltdown with my uncooled Voodoo2 in my P4. It did die inside a P2 though. 2014 is the year of the dying voodoo2s When the Voodoo Banshee and Voodoo3s came out, they were still severely CPU bottlenecked at the time thinking they wouldn't need anything more than passive …

512x384 wasn't common until VESA support really gained ground and monitors became more robust (often it's a doublescanned resolution calling for 1024x768 to be supported by the monitor)

Resolution support is independent. Voodoo 2 mins at 512x384, maxes at 1024x768 (with SLI - without it's 800x600)

That's a platform unlikely to have working drivers for older hardware and working dependencies for more of the current games on the same distro though...

gl_shadows got removed too and that's one seen in many older official HL screenshots 😀 also a little more farther back and obscure, r_mirroralpha was regressed somewhere between the Sep 97 alpha and the OEM day one release.

Alternatively, have you tried imaging your CD as an ISO (opposed to bin/cue) and then mounting the ISO?

That's easy. Install Voodoo2 drivers first, and then your VoodooBanshee/3/4/5 drivers afterward. If you need to use the V2 for a game, just pull the applicable Glide2/3x.dlls out of V2's driver archive and stick them in your game's folder which will initiate the V2 instead.
