What I really want to know is how Windows 7 is ballooning up to 30gb+. That's yet to happen for me and i've used it for years. Not using system restore probably helps. My Windows folder is currently 21gb, and it generally is 16gb after the first install + SP1, and it doesn't feel any slow in the …

You should delete the opengl32.dll in the Quake folder as that is a MiniGL intended for the first generation Voodoo card back when Voodoo didn't have their own full ICD yet. Doing this should allow GLQuake to fallback to the system ICD which should also be accelerated by Voodoo5.

I had no major issues going 7 x64 except for a certain couple of games not working at all, but the jump from XP64 is more than beneficial. I don't consider it as a 'downgrade' OS, though its handling of accellerated audio leaves little to be desired...

Because it's DOSBox, not Windows9xBox. Windows 9X is not ever going to be supported in the main project. Any prospects to running Win9x is just an unpredictable masochistic curiosity.

I wish I could use the old Detonator control panels from 99/2000 with the newer Forceware drivers. I stopped having favorite drivers for both ATI and Nvidia when they started getting huge bloat in the panel department...

I always were suggested to set the size to be twice the VRAM of the card... Also a GFFX anything is definitely not "overkill"...except in the noise department 😀

Mechwarrior 3 was featured in a PowerVR PCX2 ad. Final game is Direct3D. PowerVR PCX2 has blending anomalies with the game.

Magic Carpet requires it for anaglyph 3D mode, so that's 1994. Also Doom and Quake both were going to have support for 16-bit color at one point in development. Dropped in both, though Quake still has a lot of leftover 16bit color code in the source.
