Titles cannot be copyrighted. I take it you're not very familiar with trademark registration and the requirement of defending it (or you'll lose it)... It's the very reason why I posted that crocodile up there. His name also contains the word, and Sega could go after those Nekki guys if they wanted …

64mb onboard video and 98ish era doesn't mix. 64mb video is crossing the Radeon 9000 territory (along with Pentium M and a whole lack of chipset incompatibility with Win98SE)...

That's okay, because Nforce3 is terrible. Bad LAN, and the 64-bit drivers are unstable. It isn't much of a "battle" considering that 😀

What I remember about one computer with the ESS1688 (or was it 1868?) is ZSNES's sample rate being chopped in half and requiring the 'adjust pitch' option to compensate for the strange 16-bit sound support...

the whole "XP" brand could become retro for some since it's around that time when Windows got REALLY consumerist with the color scheme, dropping the 9x/NT separation, the XP letters stamped on everything, the advent of black OEM computers, the color blue, the push of music services and dvd playback, …

also modern video hardware strips more VESA functions (not just the Windows XP NTVDM restrictions imposed on them) so it's not even recommended.
