Sadly there are ways to circumvent. Those stats with their high peaks are pirates (especially spacewar which has a gamehub of obvious pirates)

Jagged Alliance needed a SB16 to play voices at 22khz 8bit mono for some reason (buffering?) despite the SB and SBPro being capable of such specific audio quality and format. This issue is pretty bad when there's laptops that mostly have SBPro compatibility at best....

Voodoo3 is much after the development of Scitech Display Doctor and UniVBE so don't expect support for that.

With deep licensing deals I don't think it has hope to go open source unless a lot of the functionality (the ones covered by protected patents) are stripped.

Installing XP (or any OS of the NT family) on a retro system like that is your first mistake of expecting a dos gaming machine from it....

There's no fullscreen. If one were implemented now it'd be a little hard to escape the locked input since you're emulating a system that also takes alt+enter...

There was no 4. It went from 3 to 5, which retained 2's look as well as 3's as a separate optional interface (hence 3 + 2 = 5). Winamp 3 was jsut THE WORST VERSION EVER JUMP THE SHARK version for the forced new 'scalable' interface and that stupid "Thinger" as well as having a large memory footprint …
