Re: PowerVR Fun Thread

It works with my copy. Thanks! (Netmech not tested yet though) For some reason I get a crosshair/targeting box alignment screwup also it runs slowly when you have the little 3d display of the target mech 😜

Re: 3D Accelerator Comparison Thread

Hey... If someone were to "drop" the SGL development libraries on the floor somewhere on the internet, could a SGL->OpenGL wrapper be made? It's possible, but if there's interest and a graphics programmer that has a PCX2 to develop with? Very out of luck. Though with only one supported blending …

Re: 3D Accelerator Comparison Thread

oh btw can you start in addition to GLQuake, use Darkplaces v1.05 Quake with comparing 3d accellerators? It's way more optimized than GLQuake and might work better on some older hardware. It even works on PCX-2 to an extent. :) The current build would most likely not work, which is why I specified …

Note that the Quake2 code has a built-in permedia workaround to force mono lightmapping so that is intended behavior. There's also some Permedia hackage in Quake3's code I think. …

Re: The Other 3D Chips (screens incl)

It's also bad when Matrox also provides Mystique/Millenium drivers RIGHT ON THE MATROX M3D (POWERVR) CD as if it were an emergency driver supplement. They know it's a problem so they had to make sure you'd get their driver. offtopic fact: there's powervr sgl lib/development headers on that disc …
