There's a very weird bug involving adding parameters to win.com, that causes the parameter to override it like say for starting Windows 3.1 games like SOLITAIRE directly you'd have Main : \Windows\win.com Parameters : \Windows\sol.exe It'd work, but once you edit the profile again or even duplicate …

I see a CS4248 and a YMF262, it's definitely a Windows Sound System card. The OEM isn't seen on this one though, I remember a Diamond CD-ROM kit having a card just like this

Z:\mixer. Not 'easy to get to' but it's better than nothing. If you use Windows 7 you can use the volume control to individually turn down the volume of DOSBox

It doesn't exist. What does officially exist is VQuake (Rendition Verite Quake for DOS) and GLQuake (OpenGL Quake for Windows and Linux) there's no glide quake, period... not even an open source one. 3dfx is only supported by the minigl wrapper for GLQuake. doesn't stop anyone from writing a glide …

I've tried to make a iso/cue pair ogg cd tracks for dosbox to have compactive, CD audio heavy games but I never got it to work myself. 😒 If only there was an automatic way of handling this!

though to be fair it was designed to be a lineary game in the beginning. DNF 1998 had one-way mine carts already, and rail shooter stages.

Yeah but consider how bottlenecked they get by 200MHz, and the infamous blurry output of nvidia DACs in general, plus the Geforce line isn't known for their VESA friendliness.

No, and besides, all that'll happen on Rendition for that particular game is goraud shading and bilinear filtering, IIRC. This is one of the VERY FEW Rendition-exclusive games.

Did you try CTRL-ALT-F5? oh wait,the codec, right. ffdshow should have a ZMBV codec in there, and you never mentioned your OS so we don't know if it's 64-bit vista or 7 (which zmbv should still work in anyway)
