Re: KEymapping.....

Now, here's a daft guy. Mr. "Warcraft2lover", didn't you read the reply in the other thread ? And may i direct your kind attention to this FAQ, again? Or may i suggest you press "F1" in the game, and then choose "Keystroke Help"? All these resources, and the game manual too, will tell you, THAT …

Re: Warcraft 2

Most of the "common RTS" shortcuts won't work in the DOS version, AFAIK. I think the DOS version only has the "go to previously defined map position" shortcut, nothing more in terms of "navigation" or group selection. I've started playing the DOS version, and switched to the Windows version (" …

Re: New guide

Yeah, these "Guides" don't even talk about installing the games (only about unpacking archives) - according to these "Guides", it's as if there is no such thing as original games. I'd even remove the links in the original post if i were a mod.

Re: Crashing with IMG Harddisk

Ehm... Why do you want to use an image in the first place? DOSBox' way of file handling is very convenient, and the "mount directory" approach is the default way of handling virtual drives. I can't think of any valid reason at all to use images. The only real reason i can think about is using an …

Re: Breaking Without Killing DOSBox

Don't know about VMWare, but when using plain images (no compression), you can copy files to/from an image with WinImage. I'm using this a lot with Qemu, for example. Having the ability to mount dirs would be much more convenient, of course.

Re: Screen Size decreased?

Dear lord, don't they teach english in Sweden? Your posts are very, very hard to understand. No, you can't use ScummVM data files in DOSBox. That's why they are called "data files" - they represent only the game data, without any executables. DOSBox needs the executables to run the game. You'll have …

Re: Breaking Without Killing DOSBox

DOSBox is a DOS game emulator primarily. It's not a PC emulator, or a DOS emulator. If you want to have "real" DOS functions, setup a virtual machine with a MS-DOS install. And i want to see the game that relies on CTRL-C or CTRL-BREAK.

Re: Warcraft 2 Vista Issue

WCII runs perfectly well with dynamic core on my system (XP SP2). You don't need a crack for the game. Just copy all files from the CD to a folder, and mount it. An alternative would be to create and mount a BIN/CUE image (doing that would preserve the CDDA soundtrack). Yeah, I do H-a-l-9000. It's …

Re: DOSBox won't remember my mountings

You probably did overwrite your original dosbox.conf with the one from the new DOSBox version(s). Adding mounts to the "autoexec" section of dosbox.conf has nothing to do with "skirting", it's one of the "official" ways to confgure your mountings.

Re: DosBox Problem with Xbox360 Controller on Pc

Also, if you have not calibrated the controller in Windows, you may want to do that. The XBox 360 controller is a digital joystick, which means it doesn't need to be calibrated in Windows. I've been using both a XBox and a XBox 360 controller for quite some time now, on multiple systems, and i …

Re: DosBox Problem with Xbox360 Controller on Pc

Farang: you don't need any special driver or helper program (XPadder is a great piece of software, but for a different purpose). You're probably seeing "drifting" of the joystick. First, calibrate your joystick within the DOS game you're playing. For some games, you have to use a special key …
