I remember my first case was the Apevia X cruiser because it had gauges. Now my cases are the the Haf 912 and M59 as listed in my previous case. So there is truth to getting tired of the tuner look. However I don't really care for Lian Li except for maybe HTPC cases.

actually i find 7 runs fast than xp especially when left un-re-booted for weeks and months. I can t 7's ram usage down to the 300s at idle (at the lowest)

Crossfire/SLI is probably the worst bang for your buck. I would only recommend it if you have multiple monitors or use rendering software that takes advantage of it. You're lucky to get a 150% performance boost in general. Just go all-out with one high-end card. Buy it separately to offset the cost …

I dislike Lian Lis because they have no lines, they are literally just plain black box. the 3870 was a top tier card of course it has 256 bit bus. that is also why it has lasted you so long. just late last year i bought a second 4850 for crossfire. then by the time i get money to upgrade the HD8850 will probably out.

I think it's neat. i'm to used to to windows so i made tripple boot machine with 7,OSX and Lubuntu. now if i could just get a replacement motherboard so i could actually play games across all 3 operating systems.

interesting, i forgot about performance and blinded my self with the specs. I did see a slow mo of skyrim with AMD versus Nvidia. One of them had stuttering. I think it was 7000 series and a 600 series.
