The VirgeDX and VirgeGX are the best compatability wise and are quite speedy but if you're looking for a soeedier card with crisper image quality the Matrox cards are way better...just some incompabality issues with a handful of ganes

yes in dosbox you can compare whether it works with both uart/intelligent. You may also try running dosbox on a PC with isa slots. Don't know whether there are windows drivers for Yamaha DB60XG, but maybe standard mpu-401 driver will be enough. and post your pc specs as amigaz asked, as he asked …
