No, Nvidia WHQL drivers support almost all of their chipsets, except 4200 and below as far as I know.

Hard to be sure, but that doesn't look like a standard installshield msi, so orca may not help. Are there .cab files in the installer's folder on the CDROM?

Not as far as I remember. I even recorded quite a few scene demos, along with games and they didn't seem affected.

Almost all PCI VGA that have TV out automatically 'clone' the output to the TV output. Offhand, I can think of S3 Virge, Nvidia TnT and the ATI Mach 32 as cards of that generation which I used to use to record 3D animations to Video in DOS and Windows back then. The cheapest way would be to get an old PCI VGA card that has TV out for the DOS Machine, then record that output (COMPOSITE or S-VIDEO) into either a VCR or another PC which has VIVO (Video In Video Out) capabilities. The only issue is that almost all DOS generation VGA cards can only do 800x600 …

I guess that depends on what value someone places on the content delivered via the older 'primitive technology'. I'd say the very existence of emulation and it's continual improvements in performance and broadness would show that the value of older works should continue to be protected by copyright …
