Anything that can reencode. Virtualdub should do fine and later betas of VLCplayer seem to understand ZMBV

If memtest86 is stable but the OS isn't, maybe Vista unmentioned bugs are the cause of your irritation... It'd be much smarter to get a copy of Windows 95 OSR2 /Windows 95 'B'. That version was the most stable and supported both FAT32 and USB 1.1. The version you already have is Windows 95 A/OSR1 (Operating System Release 1) and it doesn't support FAT32 only FAT16. It's also full to the brim with bugs. …

The game's running too fast in the second vid. It's also running WAY too fast on your Pentium II vid too. When the game was released 486 DX2 66 was the best CPU available for Intel x86 machines, infact when the Quest 1 remakes were actually launched 386 was being sold.
