Win98 SE are the best Windows from W9x line. I would recommend them. This has nothing to do with Windows, but with booting. As far as I know there is no way to get to a CD ROM when booting alternative DOS. You can run Windows in normal DOSBOX shell (CD ROM is available there). Mirek

IMHO it has absolutely nothing to do with W98SE, but with your graphic card (try to update drivers). Also try different output methods in DOSBOX.CONF (surface, overlay etc.). You may also try a different SDL.DLL. Mirek
