How powerfull computer did the game required in reality? If it was something higher then 80486, then you may have just too slow computer to emulate it properly... Mirek

Check that there is not anything overheating (chipset, graphic, processor). If yes, then change the fan or add a new one. If no, then reinstall Windows (it takes some time, but it is very good method to solve mysterious problems). Mirek

Yes. As far as I know the first two parts did not sell well so the third one was not ever made. I did not play them, but I have heard quite different opinions about them (bad games/best Tolkien based games ever). In any case it is pity that they left the trilogy unfinished. There is no need to use any speciall command to make a disc writable. I just meant that perhaps you do not have rights to write there or you mounted a CD ROM as C: etc... I have no idea why you cannot delete the file... It has nothing to do with DOSBOX, possibly some antivirus or Windows shell …

Try adding -ioctl when mounting CD. IOCTL has better compatibility than standard SDL mounting. I do not have the game, so I do not know whether this helps.or not Mirek
