No, not benchies, just for picture quality. I just mentioned those other cards for the same reason, which one has 'better' picture quality, in DOS I mean ?

Wondering if this is a card worth getting, how is the picture quality on the ARK 1000 ? Compared to the other 'good' PCI cards of that era, 1995-1998 etc. I got a Tseng 6000, Riva128, random S3's, as well as some TNT1 I think.... oh, and a Voodoo3 as well.

This was more in the vein of generic future proofing, when all my VGA monitors had expired from old age or too many hours, and because these scalers will be impossible to find by then... Well, I was just wondering if it technically would work at ALL, on a basic level .. ('cross-switching' the signal types, as in analog to digital etc) I mean, this is apparantly _just_ a scaler and a switcher(?), and not a converter ? Hence me not sure what would happen if I connected the VGA out …

Nice catch . I hope it works (my last used Geforce 3 Ti200 was DOA :( ) . Funny you should say that... just tested it, and it works fine, but the fan does NOT (turn at all!).... 😂 So, after a few minutes of Doom2, the metal of the cooler element gets somewhat hot, but not anywhere near scorching. …

So I take it the Extron EDID emulator (DVI) is not recommended or significantly useful in any way ? At least not if you get that '300'/'300 A' scaler ?
