Nice find, indeed. The overview map looks different, the font on the Enter code looks different. There's no audio. Pressing left ctrl + left alt + w already shows a hidden credit screen. It looks like they where also planning an EGA version.

I know I've ran Invasion of the Mutant Space Bats of Doom on my 286. The same creators also made The Rift and Return of the Mutant Space Bats of Doom , but I don't know if they run on a 286. Slordax, but that's EGA and PC Speaker only. Major Stryker, has AdLib music, but EGA graphics.
