That's what I don't understand. Is there an option for vsync somewhere? An .ini file for the game renderer dlls or sg like that? Or is it purely up to the game (patch) version?

You're right, that is weird. Dungeon Keeper enumerates 320x200@8bit, but KeeperFX does not. The documentation for KeeperFX says it should still support it. Thanks, indeed, even bicubic is wrong. I fixed it. 320x200 (standard/x-mode) and 320x240 (x-mode) with 8 bit are VGA modes and applications can control DDraw to allow it to be enabled/enumerated or not (flags DDSCL_ALLOWMODEX and DDEDM_STANDARDVGAMODES). TBH, I don't know. The game is capped to 60 fps for me too, but having a look at it with a Glide driver, vsync is always requested from the game side Copy code to clipboard 1 1397389 42.972948 11496 nfshsgame.exe grBufferSwap (swap_interval = 1) I have the game version of 4.5.

Thanks for your help, I think I solved the problem. I didn't enabled 16k size surfaces for DDraw that's why some factoring method fails for this game. I'll release a minor patch version some day but till that, try this quickfix: http://dege.fw.hu/temp/dgVoodoo2_73_DD16k.zip

This is probably a parameter validation incompatibility between dgvoodoo and MS ddraw. If you could give a savegame for the mission in question and I could get a copy of the game then I could check and fix it out.

Isn't 320x200 is implemented with physical 640x400 with in-game renderer pixel duplication and that's why no difference between 320x200 and 640x400 with this game? The "problem" is with the game engine: it does not see the one+1 values in the enumerated list so if DesiredFrameRate is not found amongst them then it seems to pick up default 60 (or the lowest in the list) value.
