You do not need one of those PCI RS232 adapters. Any socket 7 mobo already has them. If is AT, it has headers. If is ATX, it has'em on the back panel. I still think a PS2-USB combo card is a good idea. I think I will order one.

Guess it's an Intel 430FX, since it does not have USB. Newer chipsets like 430HX, VX, TX already have USB ports, and in case of VX and TX, SDRAM support. Considering PCI PS/2+USB cards, they do not need any kind of drivers for the PS/2 ports. Just for the USB, I think.

@swaaye The Maestro I tested is only bad at MIDI. In Windows 98, using the software wavetable which came with the drivers. Did some testing with DN3D and Warcraft II. An ESS Solo is good. Though I only experienced 1938's. Excellent SB Pro compatibility, FM(OPL3) and ESFM synth. The only Maestro I ever tested is onboard, and has very bad MIDI in Win98. And no more ESFM.

Well... For me Dune is the big exception of them all. Munt MT-32 emulation sounds good, but, sincerely, I prefer selecting MT-32 in the game setup, then use it with some GM synth (be it hardware or software).
