I've been thinking on getting one of those and combining it with a Celeron 1.4GHz due to its 100MHz FSB. This should be faster than a 1.4-S at 1050MHz (due to 100MHz FSB) right?

Don't just look at the benchmarks. An Athlon 64 machine will feel that much snappier, because it doesn't have the long pipeline that the Prescott has. I may be a bit harsh to the Pentium 4s, but that's just because I think this was one of the worst eras to buy a new PC (I'm not giving the Athlon XPs …

I think the latest one was 1.18? I do remember flashing my Voodoo 5 to the latest one and it was quite easy to do, much like updating the BIOS of your motherboard. Damn, I know how that feels. A friends 8800 GTS 512 died on him and he gave it to me. My Radeon 4850 also died on me... Happy news is that I managed to resurrect both by baking them! The 8800 GTS 512 now sits nicely on my 2nd PC.
