yes diskmanager steals some ram to work, no way around it maybe use XT-IDE bios with some nic to load it, works better

nice one BUT you should neutralize the battery acid as well, fiberglass pen alone is not enough as traces of it are still present and you can see it creep out after some time... you can use lemon juice or vinegar for this.
