This is a genuine card, the first thing to replace are the tantalum caps as they are known to go bad . Remove them and see if the resistance changes.

I like it, could do better in some chars but could also do worse if you view it as a simpe tv show to spend some time it's ok IMHO , if you want to view it as a lore edutainment 🤣 series you gonna be disappointed 🤣

The adaptor is a passive one, just wires to put simply. It's the mouse that has to support both protocols like cyclone3d mentions. You are better off with some serial->ps2 adapter , there are several flavors here from matze79, madowax, rio444...

why not start with a faster ISA vga? OK 8mhz 286 is not a speed king but that paradise vga is one of the oldest ones... maybe you can get a nice boost replacing it with a cirus or wd one

ok since I am the only one that has this thing atm I searched my notes better , turns out I wrote 22x 30x ranges not 220/300 ... so just to be extra sure I did the tests again and found that all these addresses (0x220, 0x221, 0x228, 0x229, 0x22E, 0x22F, 0x300, 0x301, 0x308, 0x309, 0x30E, 0x30F) …
