interesting graph but it makes you wonder if this is still the case when one uses a vga with acceleration fucntions, I mean the rapidcad gives a +120% boost on the "points" test but that's just with a 256kb vga that I assume has no gui acceleration features at all... this needs to get benchmarked …

I had no idea that 3.1 uses the fpu to accelerate things, has anyone measured that?

I ended up keeping that win10pro installation that I did - a huge factor for that was that my 7pro legit key was accepted. After tweaking (thanks for the tip on winareo schmatzler!) and some popups/features disabling all I can say is meh. Can't say I particularly love it or hate it. It's a mix of …

The fact that nichicon caps were mixed in products with crap ones most likely means that nichicons were used in critical sections and the rest in sections that were not demanding. Nichicon are good caps.

There was mention of a program(s) that would tweak win10 so that undesired functions would be removed, would you remind them again? I did a test and my win7pro key did activate 10pro so I am looking into tweaks now 😀 Thanks!

yes the schematic is edited to only include the MIDI out port , the IN port requires some more components and it is not needed for gaming/playback

this is a simple schematic for a gameport->midi-out adapter: you connect it to the CM-64's IN port and it will work fine... straight cable connections are not a good idea.

align the chip and tap 2 opposite edges to keep it in place, just use some 0.5mm or less solder wire and a fine tip - try and put solder on the crevice the pad and soj leg creates while keeping the iron at an angle so the tip kinda enters there , heat both surfaces and then you introduce some solder …
