^ shouldn't the refresh rate at least be correct on the OSD? I need to find something that outputs a 60hz signal for sure, maybe I will try with the dreamcast to make sure the scaler is reporting things fine - at least refresh.

^ I have my doubts about that, the scalers in modern sets are not "dumb" anymore like 10+ years ago. At any rate that's really a side-discussion - I have reported my experience here , whether it's an issue or not we will see 😊

Well a 386DX is not a fast cpu for MI , I just think it's a specific system quirk. I am also using MI for quick testing, it just runs OK even on my 233mmx setup without any slowdown needed. The SB/AdLib drivers do need slowdown IIRC else they crap out - remember there was a driver update for 486 …

@Shagittarius thanks for the info, interesting again @Xs1nX well check your ram and cache could be a faulty region in them... it might worth to check your PSU as well could also be your BIOS settings, too low timings that the current ram/cache can't handle

Nah Disk Manager should not cause this I've ran it for years without such issues. Have you tried removing your soundcard completely?

They were running a dos overlay of some sort. It was trendy about that time and every company had their own version …

UART MPU-401 might be possible with 74series logic but good luck implementing the Roland features with such a design Anyways please discuss these MCA stuff on it's own thread since there is one, I want to keep this one about this specific MQ project, thanks.
