That's just how the gravis setup put things on the config files. Without the ICU properly detecting the GUS PNP the gravis setup was complaining that no card was found and just exited. After ICU and proper PnP configuration the gravis setup detected the card and modified the config files to it's …

I have tested with my mobo (1mb ram, bios 0-wait states enabled, WD90C30 vga, CT2230 and XTIDE CF adapter) I played 2 levels and the game did not freeze. Leaving it on DEMO though at some point it just quit with this error - no freeze though:

@Phreeze I looked at your picture, when you took it C15A/C15B/C16A/C16B (near the xtals) seem like one end is not soldered. Generally speaking smd soldering is not that easy like hole-thru one, one does need some experience so personally I wouldn't classify the whole project as a "newcomer friendly" …
