^ -5v rail was standard on AT PSUs but optional in ATX ones. Early ATX ones had it but a recent 500W with a -5v rail is almost impossible to come across. Take a look at the ATX plug the PSU has, see if you have a WHITE wire or it's missing completely. Chances are there is an empty pin on your ATX …

also keep in mind that the LAPC-I requires a PSU with -5v rail to work fully, without -5v you won't hear sound from it

even CGA it's still a great monitor... just be careful not to feed it hi-res EGA signal, I think I've read that it could cause damage to the monitor ...

Is it sure that the composite mode in the video is correct? It looks like what you see if you select composite mode in a game but instead of using a composite monitor/tv connected through the RCA jack you are still viewing the game from the digital rgb monitor...

Darksun does not want to use the SB PRO II option with my CT1600, it complains it can't find the dsp or something very similar. SB PRO III option on the other hand checks out OK

^ take a look at the units power plug and you'll see that even if the inside connections are reversed it doesn't make any difference as the chance of "correct polarity" remains 50% 🤣 🤣 🤣

Yeah but the 6eur clones sound nothing like the cvx4 plus they are not machine-assembled. Actually I think that for this limited run the price is good since it's not hand-soldered.

Well, isa pins on argus = another ISA slot basically. You do run the risk of running out of irqs/dmas if you populate many stuff 🤣 , pins/slot it's the same to the computer. I must add though, that there are no plans at the moment to make the mpu anything more than a 8bit ISA card.

^ no edit - it just re-arranges the order of the instruments to make it more compatible with the MT-32 order. But in the end it's just a map - no extra mt-32 features are supported...

^ yes, both working at the same time and ofcourse there will be at least a 3.5" stereo jack that will output the daughterboard's audio.
