74series ICs are common logic ones, like the 74LS245s on the card. If you can desolder them a cheap programmer like TL866CS can test them. Hmmmm at this point I just think some ic on the card is just damaged... Maybe it would worth to test the 74series ICs if you can, but other that that better get another sound card IMHO

SB1.5 is in my 10mhz V20 XT, CT1350 in a 286/16 and a CT1600 in 386DX/40 and p233mmx - anything of value? I do have some CT2230s and a couple of Sound Galave BXII cards as well - even a single clone that I "upgraded" with a real 3812+dac combo. Could be a few days though for test other than p233mmx …

it seems SB 1.5/2.0/Pro2 tests are covered, my SB1.5 is a v2 DSP too... so is there any other cards that needs testing?

Have you tried cleaning it? I have a CT1600 that was not getting detected but after a good clean it was fine... and it was not dirty to begin with! give it a shot

Maybe someone re-purposed the GAL since they can be erased/written again I have a J435 vlb/isa mobo with VIA VT82C406/VT82C496G chipset and Award BIOS: all I had to do was solder the PS2 mouse header and it worked without any extra steps. Are you using it with the system in your signature? My 233mmx build has no issues with CT1600s, it would be interesting to find out the exact speed things start to fall apart... Does your soundcard have the 14mhz crystal near the ISA connector?

Now I remember why I buried that cd.... not only the tables are meh but GUS does indeed reboot or freeze my system. SBPRO2 works fine though ... The game is so weird, like a monkey put together some tables with weird config and batch files and redirections and cr*p like that... back to the storage …
